A very Merry ColorMe fabric stocking

Hayley Crouse over at Mouse House Creations created a gorgeous ColorMe fabric line with Michael Miller Fabrics called Christmas Candy Border. So along with her FREE stocking pattern, I quickly ordered some. Such an easy sew I was able to get them done before Christmas!

I added Cotton batting to thicken them up which really stiffens them for nice hanging. The print is perfect for coloring since there is so much detail. For the Pink stocking I focused on the candy but for the boys they wanted the trains on theirs. year after year now they can color their own stocking!

Cozy!

Fall Sewing - Brooklyn Pattern Company's Henry Dress.

I am so excited to have completed the Henry Dress by Brookly Pattern Company. I have seen a few versions of this  dress style and frankly I love them all. What made me choose this pattern was the straight lines combined with the pleated puff sleeves. I have never done pleats or external pockets and it was easier than I thought.
The Fabric I purchased about 4 years ago before I began to sew at a quilting shop in California. It was destined for a twirly dress but she grew so it needed to be re-directed to a pattern I had enough for.
I am finally using some of the features of my sewing machine and did a scalloped edgestitch. Ignore my blue pen lines haha, forgot to blot those off. I am in love with pleats and puffed sleeves.

I whipped up some red leggings using Go to Pattern's leggings.

Fall sewing - Heidi & Finn's Cocoon dress

Heidi & Finn released the Cocoon Dress pattern recently and I was immediately in love. The dress boasts pockets, unique shape, exposed zipper option to jazzit up, and most of all can be made with a wide range of amazing fabrics.
I decided to add an applique and was finally able to use the $1 hanes sweatshirt knit pants I had gotten from Walmart. The dress maybe costed 5 dollars. I found these shoes in our handme down box which went perfectly. She wore this dress to preschool and the farm. Great pattern!!!!!
