After 2 years of planning and saving we finally did it! The rugs are gone, the red brick tile gone, all gone. Now with Tigerwood hardwoods, slate tile, and a new couch that fits in this space. We feel like we won the lottery. Soooooo clean and pretty. We lived at our very generous neighbors' Susie and Mike. Lucky for them their house is huge so we weren't too underfoot except in the am and pm when we invaded their kitchen, oh yeah and then watched TV with them too. We are so grateful they had us because this place was a mess! Next we will repaint and rehardware the cabinets and this with the Steel fridge and slate floor will be so nice. It is amazing what sprucing up cabinets and replacing the flooring can do for a kitchen.
