Christmas bells are ringing.....

Santa was good to us this year. Noah had some new toys and some re-gifted toys (one's form his b-day we saved until now). He liked them just the same. We had a nice quiet day with Garrett's dad and enjoyed a good meal to celebrate our savior's birthday. We reflected on how fortunate we are to be a family.

First hair cut.....

Noah's hair started to hang into his eyes. We decided to cut it ourselves. He was a good boy. I of course kept the curls on the sides and back of his head.

Where does he get those curls?????

Everywhere we go someone asks "where does he get those curls?". Well here is the genetic explaination for those locks. They sure do look a alike! Garrett of course is on the bottom.

In the woods...

A friend of mine from the mother's club Rebekah Dotson took some family shots of us last weekend. Here are some of my favorites.

Deck the Halls....

For the last few years Garrett and I have been collecting one village piece per year. Last year my mother gave us some trees and people. She had intended to give us the ice rink but it ended up staying on the plane and went to another person who apparently wanted it :(.  This year I had to be creative with the location of the display because Noah's curiousity would surely rise. Displayed in the cabinet is Garrett's Christmas Spode China. He just loves it and along with the village pieces he gets one peice a year. Fortunately, Noah understands who baby Jesus is and dares not to wreck the creche displayed under the tree. Our tree this year is an Allepo Pine and it is alive in it's pot.  We had intended to plant it and watch it grow with our family but after getting it home and reading about the final product )(acidic pine needles, cones and sap) we realized this is not the tree for our yard. So we will donate it to our local arborist for replanting in the wild. I love this time of year!
