Irish?

Yes, I am partly. Growing up every year my mom made corned beef with cabbage and potatoes. mmmmmmm good. I have continued the tradition with Garrett and now get to share it with Noah. Every year I have wanted to make Irish Soda Bread but never have raisins or caraway seeds. Well I made it this year and holy cow is it tasty! Also I smartened up and used the very deep (lobster) pot that has built in strainers, one for the whole pot and one for the top (for veggies). Typically I run out of room for the cabbage and potatoes and I also end up with bites of coriander balls in my mouth from not using a strainer.

Noah got creative and I relaxed about mess and he glued and glittered his shamrocks. We also had a pot o gold with a rainbow in the window and the leprechaun rode the rainbow and took Noah's gold coins he glued on.

Milestones and motherhood

The last 2 days reminded me why I love being a mom. The joy of watching your little ones discover the world around them and experience new things.....





My little girl is finally becoming interactive. She loves her jungle gym and is starting to grasp at the hanging toys. Today we also had baby playgroup with Harper.





I have been waiting eagerly for the days when I could start projects in the home and actually get 5 mintues of Noah's attention. Lately we have been going to music class with our church friends, in leiu of a paid art class I am holding art playdates now. With the help of other mom blogs I am finding creative yet simple projects to do. Noah did spin art today with his friend Liam and later Olivia. EASY - some washable paint, paper plate and a salad spinner. Here they are displaying there work!

Noah's First Swimming Ribbon

Noah has been swimming at La Petite Baleen Swim School since he was 2 months old.
He took a break this past summer and we joined a swim club. The lessons paid off and he was like a fearless fish with some skills.

We returned for lessons this December. Noah every week asked if he could have a ribbon. Well they have a series of ribbons they give once you complete a skill set. Well today was the day he finally got his first ribbon!!!!!
